Hugo. G began his music journey in Gatineau (2017), he honed his skills in his bedroom, learning guitar, bass, and piano while also delving into music production. He then moved to Montreal for a prestigious year and a half internship at Studio Piccolo with his mentor, where he experimented with various miking techniques and mastered audio mixing, engineering and audio cleanup while collaborating on a variety of projects. With experience working with artists and a vocal coach to refine his vocal techniques knowledge, he was invited to work at Planet Studios, where he engineered more than 300 sessions over 1.5 years for everything from quartets to full rock and jazz bands to single vocals. Now working with multiple studios through the city and as the owner of his own professional space, he specializes in recording, music production, and mixing dedicated to bringing clients' musical visions to life through excellent service with exceptional quality, expertise, unique sounds and emotional experience.

This is where I do most of my work: producing, recording, and mixing music that feels real.
After spending time in some of Montreal’s biggest studios, I realized that while those spaces were technically impressive, they often felt intimidating to the artists. Big boards, big prices, too much pressure, and that can get in the way of the most important thing: the performance.
So I built something different.
My studio is designed to feel like a creative home, cozy, focused, and welcoming, while still delivering the same high-level sound you’d expect from a commercial room. The gear is professional, the acoustics are tuned, and the energy is relaxed. Artists can show up as they are, lock in, and get to the heart of their sound.
Whether we’re building a track from scratch, recording vocals, or fine-tuning a mix, the space is set up to support the music we’re making together, with no distractions and no pressure.
